  19. <p>     The minister for minerals and energy in New South Wales,
  20. Australia, offered tittering legislators a plan for a low-cost
  21. energy source: confiscated marijuana. Burning pot to produce
  22. electricity made sense, he claimed, because the crop gives off
  23. eight times as much heat as coal.
